“Back in 2018, I started to shoot photos for a photography book about where I was living, Isla Vista, California. It’s the college town for UCSB. I didn’t go to the university but I did go to the community college nearby. Of course, I eventually dropped out from community college and this was going to be my debut project to kick off my art career. I didn’t get to finish it because I got a little distracted with a cancer diagnosis and shit - blah blah blah - so here we are today and I’ve finally finished it.”
